Buying a Cartier in Tbilisi
Cartier is bought differently from a sports watch. Clients arrive knowing the shape they want and unsure of the size, which is why we suggest coming in rather than deciding from photographs — a Tank that looks small on a screen frequently reads correctly on the wrist, and the reverse is just as common.
What we check is the same regardless. Every Cartier that reaches our display has been through our workshop first — case and hallmarks verified, movement inspected, cabochon and crown examined, and the bracelet or strap fittings checked against the reference.
What we check before a piece goes on display
- The movement — correct calibre for the reference, running within tolerance
- Case and hallmarks — metal purity marks and case numbers consistent with the reference
- Crown and cabochon — stone secure, correct colour and cut for the reference
- The dial — Roman numerals, minute track and the hidden signature letter as expected
- Bracelet or strap — link stretch, clasp condition, correct deployant and fittings
- Stone setting — on diamond-set references, stones tight and evenly matched
Selling or trading a Cartier
We purchase Cartier watches outright and accept them in trade against pieces in our collection. Valuation is carried out on site and costs nothing, whether or not you decide to proceed. If you accept our offer, payment is settled immediately.
Bring the box, papers and any spare links if you have them. On bracelet references the link count affects value directly, and a full-length bracelet is worth meaningfully more than a shortened one.
Cartier service and repair
Our workshop looks after the pieces we sell and the pieces you already own: diagnostics, accuracy regulation, water resistance testing, polishing and crystal replacement. Every piece receives a free diagnostic first, and a fixed price before any work begins.
Read more about what a service involves on our watch service page, or see our journal guide to reading a watch movement if you would like to understand what is inside your watch before bringing it in.
